1. Media Autobiography

Hello,

My name is Franco Perez. Media has made a great impact on my life. To me, media is an art. It always fascinates me they way people come up with new ideas and ways to spread an idea or fact and the steps they go through to finish it.

I am now majoring in business and plan on transferring to SFSU or UCLA. I hope to one day own a business. It is related to media because I would need to give my business maximum efficiency by advertising through the media.

I have long been a great fan of the media. It is my lifelong dream to one day be a big part of the media industry. I am still unsure of what part of the industry, but am certain that this is what i want to be doing for the rest of my life. I have dreamed of being a director, anchor man, graphic designer, and many other media careers. I believe these careers fit me because they do what i love to do. The jobs are very interesting, intense, competitive, artistic, and different everyday. That is the life that I want to live. I have been involved with many media opportunities throughout my life. I have been with the school television news crew for all of middle school and high school. I was a part of yearbook creating pages for the school. I was in ASB leadership organising, advertising, and designing events for our schools. I founded a club at my high school and was president of the club called Media Production Club. I was a production assistant for a TV pilot that aired in the U.K.. I won 2nd place in a PSA video contest at UC Berkeley.

With all this experience, I know that this is what i love to do. I love making movies, taking photographs, making computer graphics, and most of the media elements. For fun, me and my friends make movies or music video stuff like these.

We also like to take photographs and do graphic design stuff like these.

There are many types of media that affects me. Growing up, the media affected me a lot by teaching me what's right from wrong, what toys are good, what is fun or cool, and other things like that. Television has always been a part of my life. It would make great entertainment through TV shows, give important information through the news, and many other stuff. Movies are very entertaining to watch to me. They usually give stories that could happen in real life, and could help people in making right decisions. I believe that the internet has been the biggest impact through media on my life. The internet has provided me with so many resources and information throughout my life. It has given me so much knowledge for me to use.

I have lived in the Philippines for 3rd and 4th grade. From what i can remember, media wasn't very different there. There were many billboards and posters around. There were a lot or advertisements for fashion, toys, food, and many other things. The news was very over reacted on problems and casualties. The media was watched by almost everyone in the Philippines.

This concludes my autobiography. Media has impacted my life a lot.
